From Seattle Wiki
A Seattleite only in spirit, with aspirations to actually live there someday.
My real name is Amelia, and my username reflects two of my greatest (Seattle-related) pleasures: good radio (especially KUOW), and good coffee. Even better, a top quality Seattle cappuccino, imbibed while listening to KUOW, and looking out across Puget Sound.
I've only visited Seattle once (spent a month based in Ballard), but I love the city and its atmosphere, and the Pacific Northwest in general. I listen to KUOW online almost everyday, and keep up with news and views in the P-I, Seattle Times, Seattle Weekly, and The Stranger.
I'm into politics, journalism, geology, computer/web nerd stuff, sailing, the Great Outdoors.
[edit] To do
Read relevant stuff to inform myself of the nature of this site vs Wikipedia.
Pages I might start some day, in no particular order:
- Page on Seattle media.
- Bill Radke - yeah I know he absconded to L.A., but he was still a prominent person in the city.
- KUOW
- Seattleite
- Judy Nicastro/Strippergate
- Puget Sound
- Seattle Fault (although this already has a Wikipedia entry) or perhaps something on Seattle geology more generally.
- Shilshole Bay/Shilshole Bay Marina, and/or Seattle marinas.
- Stuff about tides.
- Maybe something on Rain City Video and movie rental in general.
