SubSeattle Tour Edit
From Bill Speidel Enterprises, operators of the Underground Tour, comes this 90-minute bus tour that takes you from Pioneer Square through the International District, down to Lake Washington, up through Capitol Hill and back. The tour focuses on Seattle's subcultures and history, including gay history, jazz, grunge, the labor movement, religion and medicine in the early 1900s, communism, and Asian-American history. You see the city from the margins of mainstream culture: the "real" Seattle most visitors don't even hear about.
Tickets are $30, and the tour is recommended for 18+.
Tours offered from March through November.
Where to get the tour: walk to 608 First Ave in Pioneer Square to purchase tickets, or call 206-682-4646.
