Oregon borders Washington State to the south. Much or all of the border is demarked by the Columbia River.

Oregon's largest city is Portland, Or, at about equal distance from Seattle as Vancouver, BC. It is popular with vacationing Seattlites for many reasons, including the lack of any sales tax, Powell's Books, and the Columbia River Gorge, about 35 miles to the east.
