The North East Branch of the Seattle Public Library system is located at 6801 35th Ave. NE. The North East Branch serves the neighborhoods of Wedgwood, View Ridge, Windermere, Ravenna and Laurelhurst. It is the most heavily used branch in the SPL system. History[]

Seattle architect Paul Thiry designed the North East Branch building, which opened on June 3, 1954. In January 2001, the building was designated an historic building. On June 26, 2004, renovation was completed that doubled the size of the building, making it the tenth project completed under the Libraries for All building project.
