Uptown, or Lower Queen Anne
In 1998, a group of citizens renamed the neighborhood of "Lower Queen Anne" (generally, the area at the southern base of Queen Anne Hill, next door to Seattle Center) to Uptown. The name has, so far, not caught on with the general public of Seattle.
