23rd Street is tied with Empire Way South (Now MLKJ Way) as the central and lowest point of the Central District. It's greatest claim to fame is that the 48 bus runs along it's entirety, one of the Metro buses that circles the city, it runs from Rainier Beach to Sunset, travelling through every possible level of Seattle Social strata.
